Last updated: July 6, 2026
Welcome to Sweekar! This guide walks you through everything you need to get started: installing the app, pairing your device, and using it day to day. Follow the parts in order — download first, then set up your device, then explore what it can do.
PART 1 Downloading the App
Who this is for: first-time users installing the Sweekar beta on an iPhone or Android phone.
|
Recommended If you have an iPhone, we recommend installing Sweekar on iOS. The iOS app is currently the more complete and stable experience, while the Android version is still being optimized — so please choose iPhone whenever you can for the smoothest setup. |
1. Before you begin
Take a moment to confirm the following:
2. iPhone (iOS) ▶ Watch the video guide
Step 1 — Install TestFlight
TestFlight is Apple's official app for installing beta versions. You'll need it before you can install the Sweekar beta.
Option A — From the App Store

2. Search for “TestFlight”.
3. Select TestFlight, published by Apple.
4. Tap Get and finish installing.
Option B — From our invite link
1. Tap the Sweekar invite link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/MkEcR1Jn
2. If TestFlight isn't installed yet, the page will prompt you to install it first.
3. Follow the prompt to the App Store and complete the installation.
Step 2 — Install the Sweekar beta
Once TestFlight is installed:
1. Tap the Sweekar invite link, or open the invitation email.
2. The page opens in TestFlight.
3. Tap Accept to join the beta.
4. Tap Install to download Sweekar.
5. When it's done, find the Sweekar icon on your home screen and open it.
Keeping Sweekar up to date
When a new version is released:

3. If you see an Update button, tap it.
|
Good to know Please keep Sweekar on the latest version during the beta — older builds can behave unexpectedly. |

TestFlight won't open after tapping the invite link
First make sure TestFlight is installed. If it is and still won't open, try:
3. Android
The Sweekar Android app isn't on Google Play yet. For now, please install it from the APK link below.
1. Download the APK file via this link.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/16LIsZ8FRVqgXJMA8dbRyUsnaKpXgmCNp/view?usp=drive_link
2. Open the file and install the app, allowing installation from this source if your phone asks.
4. First launch — permissions
The first time you open Sweekar, your phone may ask for a few permissions. Here's what each one is for:
|
Permission |
Our recommendation |
|
Notifications |
Allow — used for device status, reminders, and other messages. |
|
Bluetooth |
Allow if you plan to connect a device. |
|
Local Network |
Allow if you need device Wi-Fi setup or a local-network connection. |
|
Camera / Photos |
Allow as needed — e.g. for profile photos or image uploads. |
|
Location |
Some Android phones need this to scan over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Allow as needed. |
|
Tip Tapped “Don't Allow” by mistake? Open your phone's Settings, find Sweekar, and turn the permission back on. |
5. Troubleshooting

PART 2 Connecting Your Device
Once the app is installed, pair your Sweekar device by scanning its QR code. You'll find the pairing QR code in the user manual.
▶ Watch the video guide
1. Before you begin
Please confirm the following before you start:
|
Important The device connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only — it cannot use 5 GHz. If your home network offers both, connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz band first, then start pairing. 2.4 GHz networks are often labelled with “2.4G” or “2G”, though they may also just use your regular home Wi-Fi name. |
2. Open “Add Device”
First-time setup — the home screen prompts you to add a device
1. Open Sweekar.
2. After signing in, if your account has no device yet, you'll see an “Add Device” prompt.
3. Tap Add Device.
4. The app gets ready to open the scanner.
|
Tip If your phone asks for camera permission, tap Allow — scanning needs the camera. |
3. Scan the device QR code
1. Point your phone's camera at the device QR code.
2. Line the QR code up inside the scan frame.
3. Hold steady and let the app recognize it automatically.
4. Once recognized, the app moves on to the connection step and shows the device ID or MAC address.
If scanning fails, try:
4. Name your device
After a successful scan, you'll reach the naming screen. Enter a name that's easy to recognize — for example:
|
Use case |
Example name |
|
Your first device at home |
My Sweekar |
|
Placed in the living room |
Living Room |
|
For your child |
Anna's Sweekar |
|
Office device |
Office Sweekar |
Then tap “Looks Good!” to continue to Wi-Fi setup.
|
Tip You can rename the device later in the app, so there's no need to overthink the first name. |
5. Connect to Wi-Fi & pair
On the Wi-Fi setup screen:
1. Check the “Current Network” shown on the page — the app usually detects your phone's Wi-Fi automatically, so you rarely need to type it in.
2. Confirm that network is a 2.4 GHz network.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password.
4. Tap “Looks Good!”
5. Wait while the app sends the Wi-Fi details to the device.
Pairing usually takes a few tens of seconds — up to about a minute. While it runs, please keep:
|
Good to know Only enter the Wi-Fi name by hand if the app fails to detect it, shows it blank, or shows the wrong network. When typing it manually, match your router's 2.4 GHz network name exactly — including capitalization, spaces, and symbols. |
6. Wait for binding to complete
After Wi-Fi setup succeeds, the app links the device to your account automatically. You'll see these stages in turn:
|
Status |
What it means |
|
Pairing |
The app is sending the Wi-Fi details to your device. |
|
Binding |
The device is online; the app is linking it to your account. |
|
Bound |
All set — you're ready to start. |
Once bound, the app returns to the home screen (or the “Me” page), and your new device appears in the device list.
7. After binding — a quick check
We recommend confirming that:
|
Tip If the device briefly shows offline right after binding, wait a minute and pull down to refresh, or reopen the app. |
8. Troubleshooting
Nothing happens when scanning
“Scan failed” message
Leave the scan screen and try again. If it keeps failing, take a photo of the QR code and the error message and share them with your Sweekar contact.
Wi-Fi name isn't detected or shows the wrong network
“Wi-Fi password doesn't meet requirements”
Wi-Fi passwords are usually at least 8 characters. Check that you've entered it in full, minding capitalization, spaces, and special symbols.
Pairing failed
Check these first:
Then tap Retry to pair again.
Device doesn't appear on the home screen after binding
